Meta Apps require specific permissions to access business data. This guide covers all permissions needed for full CRM functionality.

WhatsApp Permissions

  • whatsapp_business_management — Manage WhatsApp Business Accounts
  • whatsapp_business_messaging — Send and receive WhatsApp messages

Facebook & Instagram Permissions

  • pages_manage_posts — Create and manage Page posts
  • pages_read_engagement — Read Page insights and comments
  • instagram_basic — Access Instagram account info
  • instagram_content_publish — Publish content to Instagram
  • leads_retrieval — Retrieve leads from Facebook Lead Ads

How to Add Permissions

  1. Go to your Meta App → App Review > Permissions and Features.
  2. Find each permission and click Request.
  3. For permissions requiring App Review, submit use case documentation.
  4. For testing, you can use permissions in Development mode without App Review approval.
ℹ️ Note: In Development mode, you can only send messages to numbers added as Test Numbers in your Meta App. Switch to Live mode after App Review approval to reach all users.
